VimpelCom says has no problems with telecom equipment
MOSCOW, Aug 9 (PRIME) -- Russian mobile operator VimpelCom, working under brand Beeline, does not have problems with telecommunications equipment, an operator spokesperson told PRIME late on Monday.
“Beeline will keep on building new base stations and working on improvement of its own network – we follow the plan approved two years ago when we started large-scale modernization of the network,” the spokesperson said.
Kaan Terzioglu, CEO of VEON, the sole owner of VimpelCom, told Bloomberg earlier that the Amsterdam-based holding may have to freeze its network rollout in the country if the sanctions for Ukraine continue to block imports of essential equipment.
